Museum Mensch und Natur (Museum of Man and Nature)

The museum of Man and Nature is a modern natural history museum in the north part of the Nymphenburg Palace in Munich. It is a museum of the state scientific collections of Bavaria.

On 2,500 m ² the origin of the solar system, the history of the earth and the development of the life, but also the anatomy and biology of the person, food and environmental problems as well as the relation of the person to the nature are shown. Especially for children there is the department „playful natural history“. In the museum the preserved brown bear JJ1 is exhibited since beginning of April, 2008 , like already his predecessor, the last brown bear shot 170 years ago of Bavaria.
