Augustinian
The Augustinian is valid with the inhabitants of Munich as the place with the best beer. Beside the normal beer there is there the ´noble material´ to drink, a particularly improved beer kind with higher alcoholic content. Food is oriented in the traditional Bavarian kitchen, respectable food offers for good prices. For beer drinkers the Augustinian is a must.
Another highlight is the so-called ´Washing´ of the Augustinian. However, she is not with the restaurant, but immediately in the traditional brewery in Landsbergerstrasse. There one gets fresh beer and traditional food for especially favorable prices. The reason for it is the lease of the restaurant: She had to undertake to offer good food for affordable prices also to normal citizens. Besides there is still the Augustinian in the cathedral and one in the Platz´l which are leased to external landlords.
