Despite its size Munich is one of the greenest cities in Germany. Numerous parks and gardens dominate the cityscape. Not only the extensive shores of the river Isar, but also the big parks like the English garden, the west park or the Nymphenburger Park make it possible that from every point in Munich there is a green oasis in walking distance.
