There are many churches in Munich. Other religious buildings like the Ohel Jakob Synagogue and several mosques show that in recent years people with different religious backgrounds have moved or even returned to Munich.

Using the metro or the S-Bahn on an early Sunday morning one will see many people from other countries travelling to their Sunday services throughout the city, though many services will be held in rented rooms or cultural centres.
